Hank Gathers was a famous college basketball player who was d/x with exercise-induced ventricular tachycardia and prescribed Inderal (propranolol). He started reducing the dose because he said it reduced his performance (now you know all the side effects from beta blockers) and made him lethargic and it reduced his athletic performance. He collapsed and died during a game.
